A uniform is an outward symbol of commitment identity and ethos. Coupled with overall appearance, the uniform is the most powerful visual expression of pride by the individual and is the primary means by which the public image of the Cadet Program is fashioned. The Commanding Officer will recommend which uniform to wear depending on the season and the activity. Cadets are initially issued a Field Training Uniform (FTU) which is worn for most activities and a Blue dress uniform for the Commanding Officer Parade, Annual Ceremonial Review and special events.

New Cadets/Recruits

You will be issued the FTU for your first year of training once you have been with the squadron for at least 4 weeks. You will need to fill out the New Cadet Uniform Order form below. Measurement instructions are included in the form. The Supply Officer will send you an email with a date and time to pick up your FTU in the supply room.

Returning Uniforms

All cadets must return their uniforms when they leave the cadet program. Uniforms can be returned to the supply room at the museum on a training night between 6:30 and 8:30 pm.

Cadets may keep the following items:
  • T-shirt
  • Light blue short sleeve shirt
  • Socks
  • Toque
  • All badges, pins, ribbons, and medals
